Her mother was Cynthia Louise Bissett vice president of mobile company Verizon. Joseph Anthony Germanotta Jr. Director and businessman of an internet-based network was her father. Her family was in the luxurious Upper East Side neighborhood of Manhattan in the family of a Catholic family. Their parents had their daughter in the Convent of the Sacred Heart which is a prestigious religious institution. It was a passion for her since childhood. The first time she played the piano at just a young girl. When she was thirteen she wrote her first song. She was a part of the open mic evening. She was a huge fan of Queen Michael Jackson, Madonna as well as David Bowie. Upon completion of high school she entered the New York University's Tisch School of Art to learn about music. However, she didn't pursue her studies, and instead she quit and began her own musical career.
